2024 North Texas Giving Day Success!
Project type
Email Campaign
Date
September 2024
Role
Director of Strategic Communications
North Texas Giving Day, though considered a micro-campaign, was a significant focus for us this year. The results speak for themselves: we raised $23,423 from 69 donors- an impressive $5,386 increase from last year. Before digging into the outcomes, let's take a moment to reflect on the strategy that made this possible. A new early giving approach, refreshed content, design, and thoughtful co-branding all played pivotal roles in driving these outcomes.
What Made This Year’s Campaign Different?
Early Giving Strategy: We introduced early giving by sending emails the day before the official Giving Day, encouraging donors to give sooner. Our message was clear, "You can give early, you don't have to wait for tomorrow." This shift encouraged donors to act sooner and contributed to higher engagement.
Copy and Design Refresh: We updated the copy and visuals. We also added a bold header “MAXIMIZE YOUR IMPACT” and focused the copy on the $2,000 matching opportunity. Take a look at the refresh design (before and after) below using Austin College’s co-branding configuration to maintain a balanced proportion between logos. The co-branding design contributed to a polished look and clarified the partnership between the two entities.
